Fully Funded IPRA Foundation Peace Research Grants Program

IPRAF has provided funds to help fund peace research initiatives in places as diverse as Argentina, Bosnia, inner city neighborhoods in the United States, the Middle East, the Philippines, the Punjab, and Uganda since the Peace Research Grants Fund was established in 2002.

The following are the two granting cycles that occur each year:
Cycle 1: The application deadline is February 28 or 29.
Cycle 2: Deadline for applications in 31st of August


There is a limit of one Peace Research grant per applicant. The IPRA Foundation Peace Research Grants are minor awards designed to help scholars with short research initiatives. Individuals, not institutions or organizations, are eligible for these grants.

Overhead costs and indirect administrative costs are not funded by the Foundation as part of the grant.

Rent and other basic living expenditures are not included in the Foundation’s budget.

Benefits
In 2013, the original “Small Peace Research Grants Program” was phased out in favor of the current IPRA Foundation Peace Research Grants Program, which offers larger grants of up to $5,000.

The Application period for submitting Peace Research Grant applications is now open and will close February 28, 2022.
